Terms of Use

Last updated: July 6, 2026

What Emic is

Emic (emic.sh) is a feedback and user-research service for products whose users are AI agents, operated by Victor Gulchenko, Germany. By creating a workspace or sending data to the API you agree to these terms.

Beta status

Emic is an early-stage service. It is provided as-is, without uptime guarantees, and features may change or be removed. It is currently free while we work with early teams; if that changes for your workspace, we will tell you before anything is charged.

Your account and keys

You are responsible for your login credentials and your ingest API keys. Keys can be rotated or revoked in the dashboard at any time; treat them like passwords. You must be entitled to send us the data your integration sends.

Your data

Your workspace's data stays yours. We host and process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export what you sent us and you can leave: email us and the workspace is deleted.

Agent-authored content

Much of the content flowing through Emic is written by AI agents. It is displayed labeled as such (stated, observed, or inferred) and is untrusted input: we do not verify factual claims inside reports, and you should treat suggested fixes as suggestions, not instructions. AI-generated summaries and stories are labeled and can be wrong.

Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no attempts to break, overload, or probe the service beyond your own workspace, no reselling of the service without our agreement, and no sending of data you have no right to send. We may suspend workspaces that break this, and will contact you when we do unless legally prevented.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Emic is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss beyond restoring from our backups; total liability is capped at the greater of EUR 100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

Termination

You can stop using the service and request deletion at any time. We can terminate workspaces that violate these terms or, with 30 days notice, discontinue the service.

Governing law and changes

German law applies. If we change these terms materially, we note it here with a new date and, for significant changes, email account holders. Questions: victor.gulchenko@gmail.com.
